Application process

Twice a year we provide funding for women looking to undertake university-level research in computing or a tech-related area at one of our UK partner universities.

Our application process works as follows:

step 1

Call for applications

OpenBright issues a call for applications from eligible students from partner universities.

step 2

Application

Students complete an online application form and submit this for initial assessment by OpenBright.

step 3

Shortlisting

OpenBright Trustees decide which applications to shortlist for support.

step 4

Assessment

Shortlisted applicants are invited to discuss their proposal at an online Q&A session with the Trustees.

step 5

Decision

Trustees will decide whether to award the grant.

step 6

Funding

Grants will be made to the partner university for awarding to successful applicants.
